Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, US
FerroWorks manufactures cast and forged heavy-duty components for rail, infrastructure and industrial applications, uniting four legacy American manufacturers across three Pennsylvania plants.
FerroWorks is an American manufacturing company that produces cast and forged heavy-duty components for rail, infrastructure and industrial applications. Its product line includes couplers, yokes, knuckles, axles and crankshafts, all manufactured to serve rail and heavy-industry customers. The company operates as a parent organisation for four legacy manufacturers: McConway & Torley, Standard Forged Products, Kutztown Foundry and Machining, and McKees Rocks Forgings, drawing on more than 150 years of combined operational heritage in casting and forging.
Production is concentrated at three facilities in Pennsylvania: a headquarters in Pittsburgh, with additional plants in McKees Rocks and Kutztown. Technical work at these sites spans casting, forging, heavy-duty component manufacturing and machining, alongside mechanical and electrical systems, pneumatics and blueprint reading. FerroWorks is backed by Stellex Capital Management for growth and operational improvement, and is led by CEO David Meyer.
The company states a commitment to American-made quality, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement, combining heritage craftsmanship with updated production methods. It invests in training the next generation of metal workers, with programmes covering blueprint reading, mechanical and electrical systems, pneumatics and leadership training.
