Pafford EMS

Private ambulance and mobile healthcare provider founded in 1967, running more than 200 ground ambulances and three helicopters across five US states.

Pafford Medical Services, Inc., operating as Pafford EMS, is a private ambulance and mobile healthcare provider founded in 1967 and headquartered in Hope, Arkansas. The company supplies emergency and non-emergency pre- and post-hospital medical transportation across five states - Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Pennsylvania - and employs more than 1,400 full- and part-time staff. It describes itself as one of the oldest and largest private ambulance services in the country.

The ground operation runs a fleet of more than 200 ambulances covering Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support and Critical Care Transport for high-acuity patients. Air work is handled by Pafford Air One, the company's clinical air division, which flies three helicopters, alongside fixed-wing air ambulance services for longer-distance transfers. Between them, these services span ground ambulance operations, critical care transport and air medical transportation.

Pafford began as a small family operation and states a mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care, with an emphasis on rural and regional communities. It has traded continuously since 1967.
