Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is a destination resort and residential community on the Emerald Coast of Northwest Florida, occupying 2,400 acres between the Gulf of Mexico and Choctawhatchee Bay. Founded in 1973, it has operated for more than 50 years and describes itself as Northwest Florida's largest recreational and residential community. The property encompasses more than seven miles of beaches and bay front.
The resort's operational footprint is broad. It maintains four championship golf courses, the first of which, The Links, opened in 1974, along with 15 tennis courts and 19 swimming pools distributed across the grounds. A full-service marina offers watersports and fishing, and Baytowne Wharf, the resort's village centre, provides shopping, dining and entertainment. Lodging ranges from beachfront condos and bayside villas to golf-course townhomes and luxury homes, supported by residential neighbourhoods developed alongside the resort since the mid-1970s.
Sandestin operates across several industry verticals, including hospitality, tourism, resort and recreation, residential real estate development, golf, food and beverage, and marina and watersports. The resort has been voted "Best Resort" by visitors and reports high repeat visitation, with guests returning year after year.
