Sanimax
Sanimax transforms organic waste into industrial ingredients for sectors like animal feed, biofuels, and chemicals.
Sanimax operates a network of 17 rendering and waste processing facilities across Canada, the United States, and Brazil. The company annually repurposes more than 2 million tons of organic by-products, a large-scale industrial operation involving sustainable engineering and heavy machinery.
Its output includes ingredients for animal nutrition, pet food, biofuels, and industrial uses such as paints and lubricants. Sanimax's work in circular economy practices has resulted in greenhouse gas emissions five times fewer compared to traditional disposal methods.
Founded in 1939, Sanimax is a family-owned business with over 2000 employees, operating for more than 85 years in the agri-food processing and rendering sectors.
