Stronghold Companies is a group of specialty companies providing turnkey turnaround and tank services to the refining and petrochemical industries, with additional work in midstream and upstream. Headquartered in La Porte, Texas, the group operates 35 locations across North America and reports serving 100% of major refinery companies.
Work is delivered through a family of member companies: Elite Turnaround Specialists, Cat-Spec, Specialty Tank Services, Stronghold Tower Group, Stronghold Inspection, Turnkey I&E, Catalyst Changers and Stronghold University. The combined technical scope covers turnaround services, tank and tower services, inspection, instrumentation and electrical, and catalyst changing.
The company employs full-time supervision and key craft professionals year-round. Training runs through Stronghold University, a dedicated training and education centre that has produced more than 8,000 craftsmen and continues to train safety-focused technicians each year.
