Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort

Family-owned Sierra Nevada ski and snowboard resort near Pinecrest, California, offering 800+ acres of terrain, 12 lifts and year-round outdoor recreation.

Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort is a family-owned ski and snowboard resort near Pinecrest, California, in the Sierra Nevada within the Stanislaus National Forest. Founded by the Purdy family for the 1950 opening season and owned by the Helm family since 1976, it operates as the closest snow destination for the Bay Area and Central Valley.

The resort runs 12 lifts serving 67 trails across more than 800 acres of skiable terrain, with 1,600 vertical feet of drop. Its operations span downhill skiing and snowboarding, terrain parks for freestyle skiers and riders, competitive race teams, and adaptive ski programs for guests with disabilities.

Work at Dodge Ridge is year-round rather than seasonal only. Beyond the winter mountain operation, the resort runs summer camping at the Pinecrest Campground and events at the Pinecrest Theater. Nearly seven decades of continuous operation under long-term family ownership have shaped a culture oriented around families and around skiers and riders with a life-long attachment to the sport.
