LYNX
LYNX is Central Florida's public transit authority, operating bus, paratransit and community transport services across five counties around Orlando since 1972.
LYNX, the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority, is the public transit provider for the Greater Orlando region. Established in 1972, it has operated bus and paratransit services for more than 50 years across Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties, with additional coverage in parts of Lake and Polk counties. Its fixed-route local bus network carries approximately 55,000 to 67,000 passenger trips a day.
The agency's service portfolio spans several distinct modes. Local Bus Service forms the core network, complemented by FastLink express and limited-stop routes, the free LYMMO downtown circulator in Orlando, and NeighborLink community transportation. ACCESS LYNX provides paratransit for individuals with disabilities, while a Vanpool commuter program offers shared-ride commuting options.
Technology underpins much of LYNX's current operations. Technical domains include transit technology, real-time tracking systems, cashless fare payment and trip planning. The Paw Pass mobile application brings together cashless fare payment, trip planning and real-time vehicle tracking for riders.
LYNX works with regional partners including SunRail, MetroPlan Orlando and I-4 Express, and states a focus on connecting communities to employment, healthcare, education and entertainment. Further information is available at golynx.com.
