The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence
A nonprofit chapter of The Arc New York providing disability services, including transportation, residential, clinical and employment programs, plus manufacturing and fulfillment enterprises in two New York counties.
The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence is a nonprofit organization serving people with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities across Jefferson and St. Lawrence Counties in New York. It is one of 33 local chapters of The Arc New York. The organisation runs a person-centered model in which programs are built around each participant's choices, needs, and potential, with the stated aims of independence, goal achievement, and full community participation.
Its services span early intervention programs for children, clinical support, care management, residential programs, community habilitation, employment assistance, and transportation services for participants. Alongside these, it operates employment-oriented business enterprises that provide work experience and contracted services in manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, fulfillment, printing, document handling, kitting, and packaging. Creative programs are also offered for children, adults, and families.
Operations are grounded in collaboration with individuals, families, schools, employers, and community organisations, with an emphasis on choice, individual growth, dignity, responsiveness, and continuous improvement in service quality. The work combines human services delivery with hands-on operational environments, including transport, production, and fulfillment settings.
