Mi-Jack Products is a family-owned designer, manufacturer and distributor of Rubber Tired Gantry (RTG) cranes and other material handling equipment. Founded in 1954 by Jack Lanigan Sr. - whose first product was a boom crane able to lift utility poles from the back of a truck over parked cars - the company is headquartered in Hazel Crest, Illinois, and has been in operation for more than 70 years. It is known as a global leader in RTG crane technology and acquired manufacturing rights to the Travelift® crane in the early 1980s.
Its product lines include the self-propelled Travelift® Rubber Tired Gantry crane and the Translift® RTG crane, alongside the Mi-Star™ automation platform for crane and material handling operations and hydrogen-powered material handling technology. Work spans heavy lifting equipment, crane manufacturing, industrial automation and hydrogen power, with applications in the crane industry, industrial equipment manufacturing and utility pole handling.
The company runs four regional offices and five sales locations serving the United States and international markets, and manufactures to ISO 9001:2015 certified standards. Mi-Jack takes its name from the founder's two sons, Michael and Jack.
